Happy Friday everyone!!!
I’ve been so crazy busy with work and school and have not have time to post anything. However, I’m so excited to be working in new projects 🙂 I have so much school work this weekend that I’ll probably stay in most of the time 🙁 check out my list of things to do this weekend….so many fun things going on!
here’s a list of 5 things to do in DC this weekend!
Where? Every Friday at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden
700 Constitution Ave NW, Washington DC 20004
What time? 5 pm to 8 pm
Price? Free!!!! but bring cash if you want to buy Sangria (so good!) $20 per pitcher
Jazz in the garden is one of my favorite things to do every Friday during the summer. This was the first unofficial date me and my boyfriend had when we were only friends and we had way too much fun. I have been going ever since!
Bring blanket and food if you want to have a picnic with your friends.
2. Paddle Boarding at Georgetown Waterfront
Last weekend, I went kayaking in the Potomac for my friend’s birthday and we had so much fun. I prefer paddle boarding and is one of my favorite activities during the summer!
Where? Georgetown waterfront
Price? About $20 per hour

3. Go to Roosevelt Island
Theodore Roosevelt Island serves as a memorial for Roosevelt’s contributions to the nation’s national parks.
Walk the Trails – The island has three trails. The Swamp Trail (1.5 miles) The trail loops around the island through the woods and marshes. The Woods Trail (.33 mile) goes through the Memorial Plaza. The Upland Trail (.75 mile) extends the length of the island. All trails are easy and relatively flat terrain.
Wildlife Viewing – You will likely see birds like woodpeckers, herons, and ducks on the island year-round. Frogs and fish are also easily seen by visitors.
Visit the Memorial Plaza – See the statue of Theodore Roosevelt and honor his life and legacy.
Fishing – Fishing is allowed with a permit. Keep in mind, that on weekends there is a lot of foot traffic and limited space. You should be considerate of other visitors and avoid the busiest times and locations.
4. Go to the Argentina and Chile Wine Tasting Soiree with Tango
Where? 1725 Desales Street NW, Washington DC
What time? 4-6 pm
At this event they will have a delicious, plentiful spread of hors d’oeuvres, selected to pair with o selected wines. The food for this evening will be provided by Panache Restaurant, a sophisticated Mediterranean-style tapas restaurant and there will be tango performances!!
5. Champagne tour at Mansion at O
The mansion at O is like no other place I’ve ever visited. They have multiple themed room from the James Bond Suite to the Beatles, this mansion is full of surprises! They have multiple secret doors ( I only found 6) please let me know how many you guys find! They were recently feature on the TV show “Mega Mansions”
This place is a hidden gem!!
